Since 1997, Colleen Bonniol has been the owner, CEO and executive producer for MODE Studios, a Women’s Business National Enterprise Council (WBENC) Certified business. Responsible for managing growth and consistently driving innovation to new heights, Colleen has been instrumental in the Seattle-based company’s rise as a preeminent force in media and interactive design. MODE has rendered top-tier applications that span the global architectural, entertainment and marketing industries. Today, the company’s client list includes many of the world’s leading corporations, architecture firms, and entertainment networks… and recording artists too numerous to count.

Emmy Award winner Bob Bonniol is an acclaimed director and designer of live production, broadcast, and media-driven interactive installations. Widely known for his ability to transform live experiences into must-see spectacles, his imaginative implementation of media and interactivity has rendered top-tier applications spanning the global architectural, entertainment and marketing industries.
Bob’s most recent projects include his award winning role as co-creative director and producer for the massive renovation of GM World at General Motor’s Global Headquarters in Detroit, Co-Production Designer for Princess Cruises newest spectacle, Fantastic Journey, and Designer of the interactive lobby installation in Salesforce’s Bellevue Washington skyscraper.

In 2018, as part of the expansion of MODE Studios as a hybrid experience agency, the company’s principals Bob and Colleen Bonniol welcomed Butch Allen as the company’s creative director, designer and producer. Widely known as one of the world’s leading concert production designers, Butch’s work as creative director for the “Happy Place” pop-up experience – which started grabbing headlines in LA entertainment guides in late 2017 – represents a thrilling new genre of selfie-inspiring destination installation.
In the words of MODE’s Bob Bonniol, a frequent creative collaborator for many years, Butch is a sure-fire bet when it comes to creating mind-blowing immersive experiences that guarantee visceral and emotional moments through sparkle, kineticism and an outsider vector.

Beginning in 2015, the principals of MODE Studios – Bob and Colleen Bonniol – began formally developing MODE Architectural as a dynamic new facet of their company, Through that focus, their bond with registered Architect (Ontario Association of Architects) and master instructor Wyn Bielaska was forged, leading to Wyn coming onboard in 2018 as a key leader for company pursuits where architecture and experiential media intersect. With the emergence of “theater everywhere,” this melding of masterful craftsmanship with artful entertainment is in great demand.
Citing his love for architecture as the source of his energy and his superpowers in inspiring others, Wyn admits to being super-sensitive to all the senses… and to others’ feelings and perceptions of place.

The patent creativity and design expertise of Zachary “Zak” Borovay is an essential ingredient in scores of the world’s most acclaimed live events – as well as performances appearing in top-tier theaters and showplaces worldwide. The projection designer behind a dozen Broadway shows, Zak’s visually stunning contributions to themed environments include repeated consulting with Disney Theme Parks, projects at Universal Studios Hollywood, among many other entertainment industry giants. Now, as part of MODE Studios, Zak is cross-pollinating his talents and capabilities into a new class of environments set to thrill and deeply engage audiences of all ages.

Based in New York City, Caryl Glaab is one of the live entertainment industry’s foremost video designers, creative directors and visual artists. As the video designer and a creative director for the world famous Blue Man Group from 1989 to 2018, Caryl has designed stage productions ranging from single-projector shows to massive-scale Las Vegas attractions, arena and theatrical tours of all sizes, broadcast and live appearances, and feature entertainment projects – all reflecting his signature style and aesthetics. His breathtaking environments and video installations also grace premier architectural venues across America.
Caryl began his long time collaboration with MODE by adding them to the Blue Man Design formula starting in 2014. In March of 2018 he joined the company full time.

Renowned lighting designer Anne Militello brings many years of experience in architecture, theater, concert tours, theme parks and light art installations to her role as Principal Designer/Producer for MODE Studios. Her award-winning, world-class portfolio spans the globe, featuring scores of ultra-prestigious architectural, live and themed entertainment projects. Anne is also a widely recognized fine artist with a career spanning all aspects of creating with light. Through her stage collaborations with Sam Shepard, David Lynch, Maria Irene Fornes, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Placido Domingo, Robert Plant, Pearl Jam and many others, her lighting designs have illuminated the world’s leading entertainment venues, including Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, Royal Albert Hall, Public Theater, Canadian Opera, Seattle Opera, and Staples Center.
Pablo N Molina
Partner / Principal Designer & Interactive Producer
Pablo N. Molina was named Principal Designer and Interactive Producer for MODE Studios in 2018. Originally engaged as designer and software architect for the firm over a decade earlier, he has been a key team member ever since, serving as associate designer for most major studio projects and leading the interactive software development team.
As a world class artist and technologist, Pablo’s work employs groundbreaking use of emerging technologies such as AR/VR, real-time visuals rendering, live digital video processing, interactive content and projection mapping, resulting in a new class of immersive media environments. Pablo originated the video design for the Alex Timbers-directed musical adaptation of Sylvester Stallone’s ROCKY, and collaborated with NYC designer Dan Scully on the acclaimed design for the Broadway production.
